To learn and practice diving, you'll first need to be mentally prepared to properly execute the techniques in-water. There is an online portion of the PADI Open Water Diver course available through PADI eLearning.
The Open Water eLearning course is $179.00, to be paid through a secure online payment system. There are additional in-water training and equipment rental costs. The course is conveniently available through online for one year and includes unlimited access to the online PADI Open Water Diver Manual.

PADI Open Water Course
This is the course you'll need to get PADI certified for SCUBA diving. The Open Water Diver course is the most popular SCUBA course in the world and has been the perfect gateway to allowing millions of people to explore the awesome, intriguing environment beneath the waves.
What You'll Learn:
The PADI Open Water Diver is a three-part course. Its main phases are: Knowledge Development (online, home study, or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of SCUBA diving; Confined Water Dives to learn basic skills; Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore! If you have taken previous diving courses, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.
You only need be 10 years of age or older to enroll in the PADI or Junior Open Water Diver course!
Part of the course focuses on instruction of how to use basic SCUBA gear including a dive computer and other standard accessories. Diver's Den sells and rents out equipment for use during courses.
The course material covers what you need to know about basic SCUBA diving skills, terminology, and safety procedures. It is presented as reading material accompanied by a video demonstration, followed by practical instruction in the pool with your instructor. Once you are certified, you may refer back to the course materials for review.
PADI Advanced Diver Program
The PADI Advanced Diver course is for those who are looking to take the next step in their diving adventures. Through five dives and a classroom session, students will take in a year's worth of experience and learn about Night Diving, Underwater Navigation, Boat Diving, Deep Diving, and Underwater Search & Recovery.
The dives must be made in the following order. A diver cannot move on to the next one without completing the one before it. If a diver misses a boat dive, they will be responsible for charter fees for any make-up dives.
1. Peak Performance Buoyancy – Shore
2. Navigation – Shore
3. Night – Shore
4. Deep – Boat
5. Underwater Search & Recovery – Boat
Each diver must have the following equipment for each dive. It is recommended the divers supply their own equipment, however rentals are available at student rates.
1. Mask, Fins, & Snorkel
2. 1/4” Wetsuit or Dry-suit
3. Hood, Gloves, & Boots
4. Weight System
6. Regulator with Gauges & Alternate Air Source
7. BCD with Power Inflator
8. Timing device
