Before the dives

Hit the books first

Advanced Open Water eLearning carries interactive lessons on thirteen popular specialty dives — altitude, boat, digital underwater imaging, drift, dry suit, fish ID, night, buoyancy, search and recovery, underwater naturalist and wreck among them.

You study deep and navigation, which are required, plus the three specialties you pick for your dives.

The practicalities

  • 01eLearning takes about six to eight hours, at your own pace

Before you book

What to sort out first

Gear

  • Your own kit, or rented from the shop
  • Fitted before your class, not on the day

Stop in beforehand and we will get you sorted — see rental gear for what we hold and what it costs.

Paperwork and code

  • A PADI medical statement, before your first class
  • Your eLearning code, from the shop

If you have filled in a medical statement with us before, you are already set. Forms are on the resources page.

The deep dive is a charter. It is booked through the boat operator and the fee is paid to them, separately from the course. Call the shop on (603) 601-6708 and we will tell you what is running and what it costs.
