What the experience involves
Discover Scuba Diving is not a certification course. It is a short, supervised introduction: your instructor covers the basic safety rules and a few simple skills, fits you with the gear, and then takes you into confined water so you can try breathing underwater for yourself.

- Your first breaths underwater in confined water with a PADI instructor
- No previous experience required
If you enjoy it — and most people do — the skills you practise can carry across into the PADI Open Water Diver course, which is the first full scuba certification.
