The experience
Discover Scuba Diving is not a certification course. It is a short, supervised introduction — the answer to a simple question: what is it actually like down there?
Your instructor covers the basic safety rules and a few simple skills, fits you with the gear, and then takes you into confined water so you can try breathing underwater for yourself. There is nothing to prepare and nothing to bring.
If you enjoy it — and most people do — the skills you practice carry across into the PADI Open Water Diver course, which is the first full scuba certification.

Where it can lead
Nothing is expected of you afterwards. If you want to keep going, the skills carry straight into Open Water Diver.
One session in the pool is where nearly every diver we have certified started.

In our own confined water, not the open sea
Your first breaths happen somewhere calm, shallow and controlled, with an instructor within arm’s reach. That is the whole point of the session: no boat, no current, nothing to get wrong.
