(1) Hit the Books (eLearning)
The first thing you’ll do is learn scuba diving fundamentals during phase one, knowledge development. Start with PADI eLearning or buy the open water course book! This can be started anytime and must be completed before the (2) confined water dives. The best way to start is look at our package prices below, sign up for a package with code and you will receive a code right away. Typically ~5 hours to complete eLearning.
(2) Confined Water Dives
You’ll take your first breath underwater in a calm environment such as a swimming pool or other confined environment. You’ll practice basic diving skills such as setting up gear, clearing water from your mask, removing and replacing your regulator, ascending and descending, controlling your buoyancy. Once this is completed you will need to sign up for your (3)open water dives. You must have completed all your combined water dives prior to signing up for the Outdives.
(3) Open Water Dives
You’ll learn to dive by diving to a maximum of 18 metres/60 feet. The open water course includes four total open water dives, usually done over two days. With your instructor by your side, you’ll practice the skills you learned in (2)confined water, and explore the underwater world. If you have completed (1) and (2) you can find the schedule for our Open Water Dives, "Outdives" here.
